President Muhammadu Buhari against pleas from Nigerians will not be attending the burial of late Lt. Col. Muhammad Abu Ali, killed in an ambush by members of the Islamist terror group, Boko Haram over the weekend, as the Presidency claims that Buhari have more important assignments to attend.
Buhari who will be represented by the Secretary to the Federal Government, came to office in May 2015 when no single Local authority in Nigeria was under the control of the Islamist, have being dwelling in lies and propaganda and relatively done little to conclude the fight against Boko haram, a group he has sympathies for.
Lt Col Ali, the Commanding Officer of 272 Task Force Tank Battalion, was killed when Boko Haram terrorists attacked 119 Battalion, Nigerian Army location at Malam Fatori in Borno on Friday, killing one officer and four soldiers.
The late Commanding officer according to Hope For Nigeria as result of his exceptional bravery and gallantry, was given an accelerated promotion from the rank of Major to Lieutenant Colonel and was decorated by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, at Gamboru Ngala on Sept. 9, 2015, during an operational visit.”
President Buhari who criticized the past government of little support and not visiting the troops have stayed away from the Troops instead flies from one foreign country to another. According to Defense Headquarter sources, the military is still using the weapons purchased by the Goodluck Jonathan's administration, while Buhari relly on his traditional excuses.
