Concerned and worried over the security in the country, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, has raised alarm over the activities of Boko Haram.
Sanusi, who is a former Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), said the activities of Boko Haram in the North East, as well as those of militants in the Niger Delta region, posed a serious threat to national security.
According the Kano Monarch: “In the ranking of failed states, security is number one.”
He made this position Wednesday in Abuja, at the conferment of award on the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris.
