Real Estate Company to Invest N10bn in Delta State –
The firm disclosed this at its inaugural customer forum held in Lagos recently.
The project, which proposes 400 units of houses on 6 hectres of land space would commence January 2015
Speaking at the forum, the Chief Executive Officer, Centre Base, Mr. Olusesan Obe said: “We have about 400 units coming up and we intend to build them in 100 every phase. So the first 100 is going to take off January next year.
“The entire project would cost N10 billion, so the average cost of the first phase would be about N2.5 billion.”
Obe futher said: “For the Warri Industrial Park, we are coming in to take part of the building aspect. We have a lot of industries and offices there and they would need places to stay so we are taking care of all the residential aspect of it.”
He also said his firm would offer various kinds of housing units ranging from 17 million to 30 million depending on what customers decide to key into.
He applauded the Delta State government for its support.
“We need to commend the present governor in terms of trying to stimulate the economy of that area. In spite the fact that there are challenges in that axis of the country he is able to draw people to invest in the state.
“They are doing a lot of road network, providing light to stimulate development in that area.”
Also speaking at the forum, the project director, Warri Industrial Business Park, Mrs. Helen Emore said: “Warri industrial park is one project where the government wants to create an environment where people can work live and play with dedicated infrastructure. The project started about five years ago.”
Speaking on how the company wants to execute the project, she said: “We had to do due diligence meaning we had to inspect all the projects of your bidders and our inspection team unanimously agreed that centre base had one of the highest qualities in terms of finishing and designs. Also the proposals sent to us indicated that the buildings would be affordable prices.
“From what we have seen and done so far, we are comfortable with them and we believe they would deliver on time.”
