Four persons have been confirmed dead in an auto crash that occurred at Umumba Junction, Enugu-Onitsha Expressway in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The accident, which occurred on Wednesday morning involved a trailer with registration No XA513 GWK and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration no XA 943 ACA.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Enugu State, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, disclosed that the two vehicles had a head on collision.
“It left four occupants dead on the spot, leaving many others with various degrees of injuries”, Amaraizu stated, adding that “corpses of the deceased are now being deposited at the hospital mortuary of Our Saviour Hospital, 9th Mile corner Ngwo”.
He disclosed further that the injured were also receiving treatment in the same hospital.
