We are all in one way shape or form familiar or not as the case may be with the following list. What many of us may not realise is how much it is costing our dear nation simply on reputation. Please read and ponder:
- Those involved in the production of fake currency
- Professional abattoirs
- Drug dealers and peddlers – remember many lives are being destroyed as a consequence
- Petrol Station Owners who fiddle with their pumps and cheat unsuspecting Nigerians on a daily basis
- Those who choose to murder for the sake of election loss
- Those who still practice nepotism – depriving rightful and talented Nigerians the right to contribute to our great nation. Some of them end up leaving the country and some end up lounging.
- Those who steal and confiscate land from their rightful owners for personal gain. on occasion murder the victims in the process.
- The hypocrites that regularly and purposely vandalise PHCN equipment throwing neighbourhoods into darkness for personal gain. On the other hand in another breath go onto blame the Government on corruption
- Those who purposely assassinate the character of their work colleagues to find favour with their bosses – “eye service”
- Those who are brought up with stolen money and show no remorse
- Those who borrow money in order to partake in personal vanity e.g. throwing lavish parties or spraying at parties – defying the purpose of the loan which was perhaps for building a business creating employment and improving the lives of the local community.
- Those who get involved with the fraudulent activity of “yahoo – yahoo” destroying the reputation of a vast majority of Nigerians worldwide who work hard. All for the sake of a few pennies – surely we are worth more than this. Don’t think you are smart in dealing with a few daft onyinbos – think of the millions in opportunities you have cost fellow Nigerians
- Journalists who choose to hide the truth and promote fabricated content – beware the truth will come to bite one day.
- Those who create ghost workers in order to satisfy self – well done
- Those who practically steal from our aged by looting their pension
- Those who comfortably prey on the vulnerable
- Those who do nothing whilst around them evil prevails
- Those who compromise their professional integrity for the sake of money and this cuts across board.
- Habitual Tax evaders
- Falsification of documents: Education, date of birth Professional Qualifications etc.
- Those who have chosen to make Nigeria ungovernable sponsoring bombings riots and purposeful chaos
- Those who collect tithe and offering from outright looters
- Those prey on the poor and vulnerable in the name of religion.
- Those standing in the way of free and compulsory education of the nations children
- Those who perpetuate tribal hatred
- Those who perpetuate religious hatred
- Those on foreign missions not carrying out their duty to help fellow Nigerians abroad
- Those in Public Office who refuse to carry out their duty
- Those that do not treat their staff appropriately
- Those who encourage their children to cheat – wrongly advocating smartness
- Those who cheat at examinations
- The lecturers that prey on vulnerable men and women for the sake of sex and abuse their position of trust
- Those who import inferior and sub- standard goods
- Those in a position of authority that allow such goods to cross our borders
- The importation of fake and poisonous drugs into our country
- The importation of substandard food into our country
- Those who contravene traffic rules on a daily basis – effecting unnecessary traffic and loss of lives
- Those who refuse to queue or wait their turn
- Those who purposely risk the lives of their client by placement of fake or inappropriate parts into vehicles and machines
- Enforced and mandatory bribes
- Looting public funds
- Rigging elections
- 419 perpetrators
- Oil bunkering
- Colluding with foreigners to steal from the nation
- Slandering Nigeria and Nigerians
- Preying on the children of the poor – child trafficking
- Abuse of the vulnerable and the poor
- Stop worshiping money – but rather learn how to control it rather than let it control us and in the process compromising our principle and person
- Too many ships are leaving our shores empty.
Though we may point accusatory fingers at others we are all equally guilty of the aforementioned. Let those ships be filled with our skills and talents so that we become contributors to the world rather than consumers. We all have it within us.
